Ligne Roset Lamps Stripes by Philippe Nigro

latest exhibition in Cologne furniture designer Philippe Nigro made a beautiful series of hanging lamps for Ligne Roset. Their names and Stripes rather than the surprise appearance for the effect of light-shadows they produce. We are in a series of metal rings with gaps that allow two or more “stripes” of overlap as they are hung in clusters. The ceiling is composed of asymmetrical elements reminiscent of the teeth of combs intertwined.

This asymmetry and these changes are strong themes in the work of Philippe Nigro and Stripes is at the end of a search based on the study of light, shade and design.
